魏康翔 Wei Kang Xiang

Wei Kangxiang was born in Wuhan in 1946. He studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts for postgraduate studies. In 1972, he created the Chinese painting “Welcome to Thousands of Wheels and Send Thousands of Ships”, which made him famous. He successfully entered the painting world and engaged in professional art creation. In 1990, he was transferred to the Art Department of Jianghan University to teach Chinese painting. He is now a member of Hubei Artists Association, director of Wuhan Artists Association, and librarian of Wuhan Museum of Culture and History. Wei Kangxiang is proficient in portrait painting. His paintings have both form and spirit and outstanding temperament. His works have repeatedly amazed the painting world. For example, the “Silent Spring”, which represents Premier Wen Jiabao, won the national gold medal; the “Light of China” commemorating Mr. Sun Yat-sen was invited to be exhibited at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei. , In addition, the portrait series “Yongmei”, “The Return of the Southern Tour”, “The Great River Goes East”, and “The Foundation of Qianqiu”, which show the great leaders, have been greatly praised by the industry.
