“Thousand-handed Avalokitesvara” is called “Thousand-eyed and Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara”. It is rumored that Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva once made a vow to benefit and comfort all sentient beings, hoping to be able to “be born with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes” to take care of the overall situation and take care of thousands of people in the world Just as the vow fell, the Avalokitesvara Avalokitesvara appeared, helping the Bodhisattva to rescue various sufferings and disasters in the ten worlds in many ways.
Thousand-handed Avalokitesvara with clasped hands, holding a halberd and a meditation staff on the left and right, ready to observe the world and protect all beings at any time. Every arm that grows around him holds magical instruments to deal with different situations. For example, the “Bao Luo Shou” can command the gods; the “Yamen Axe” can cut off suffering; “Thousands of hands” means infinite and vast compassion, and “thousands of eyes” means that wisdom is complete and unobstructed.
Thousand-handed Guanyin is not alone in fighting. He is often accompanied by dragons and phoenixes. There are also two Buddhist Dharma protectors, the Venerable Jialan and Veduo Bodhisattva, to help exorcise demons and protect the Dharma. The top is also supported by immortals from time to time. The strength is extraordinary. As long as the believers worship devoutly, they can obtain blessings such as “relieving disasters”, “enhancing”, “respecting and loving”, and “subduing”.
